Well, this was my first time leading a RPLNISH Experience. In October, I got the opportunity to lead a trip to North & South Carolina. A few of the guys just showed up to the trip not even knowing why they were there. Their superintendent (of their fellowship) told them they needed to go on the trip, and they did! It was God ordained for sure. As we sat on the porch in prayer, chatted around the dinner table and conquered an escape room together, we realized that God had brought all of us together for a reason. He wanted to do something in our hearts, and we needed this time away with one another to hear His from Him and from each other.
A few of the guys said they thought this was going to be a little vacation, a time to get away and rest. Little did they know, God had other plans. For four days, we fished hard, ate well, lounged in the spa, played games, and laughed together. Although relaxing, it was truly therapeutic in many ways. At the end of the trip one of the guys said to me, "I needed this more than I even realized." Now, almost a month later, the guys and I have kept up by text and phone, only to realize that God is still using that "little vacation" to do a deeper work in our hearts. This revelation made me smile! I am grateful that God pulled us all together in the back woods of the Carolinas... I am forever changed!
For those who have prayed, given to and supported this ministry over the last several years, thank you. You have made it possible for ministers across the nation to get away, relax a bit and take care of their souls. And trust me when I say this, every single one of those guys came back from the trips realizing this was more than just a "little vacation." So, thank you for making this possible, you are impacting more lives than you even realize!
