For me and my Pastor friends, life comes at us fast. Racial tension in our world, political divides in our country, and opinions on everything from where you stand on vaccinations to coffee in the sanctuary; pastors need to get away now more than ever! And not only does the pastor need to get-a-way, but so does the spouse, and that is exactly right up RPLNISH’s alley. RPLNISH was there for me when I was ready to quit the ministry. It has allowed me the chance to turn around and pour back into other pastors and spouses who might find themselves in the same boat I was.
On October 3-6, 2022, God orchestrated the perfect location and the right couples to attend a Pastor and Wives Retreat in beautiful Jefferson, Colorado at the Revelation Ranch! Through the generosity of the NC West District, along with Rawd Jones and RPLNISH, we were able to help couples do some self-evaluation, soul care, and even work on their marriages.
In fine RPLNISH fashion, we ate very well and had some great, eye-opening sessions. From fillet mignon to biscuits and gravy to homemade lasagna- we had our fill. On Tuesday night, we were able to give each couple a $100 gift card which they used to go on a date to Breckenridge. Each couple came back and filled us in on their wonderful time away. To close out the last night, we played couples bonding games before turning in for the evening!
RPLNISH has helped numerous pastors and now spouses of pastors as well. We had a great time in Jefferson, CO. Us couples are excited for another potential trip in the future. Thank you so much to Rawd Jones and the RPLNISH Ministry! We all need to learn to Divert Daily, Withdrawal Weekly, and Abandon Annually.
