It is an amazing thing to see God move on our times away with Pastors and leaders. Replenish truly captures what takes place in the lives of these influencers when they get away, connect with others
REPLENISH, SELF CARE, SOUL CARE... THESE THINGS WORK
Taking care of yourself works; it makes you healthier, better for those around you and enables you to live longer. Whey arent people taking better care of themselves? Good question. Soul care is kind of like physical care or taking care of your body by going to the gym and eating right, everyone knows they should do if but not everyone does.
Most people when they return from a Replenish say something like, I didn't know how bad off I was or I didn't realize how much I needed this. Here are a couple quotes from recent trips,
" They gave me hope. They gave me PEACE"
"I got my equilibrium back."
"As I replenished, I got in touch with my inner kid, riding quads, jogging, hiking.... I took this home and began to replenish my kids too."
"As I stopped I realized I finally gave God a chance to work."
"I realized I had to stop knocking doors open and let god open them."
WHAT IS NEXT?
For you RPLNISH Experience, we will be in touch, for self care and soul care, check out our other blogs but here are a few tips below.
Here are a few Soul Care tips to help you live out of the overflow.
1. Breath - Literally and metaphorically. Slow and deliberate, deep belly breaths are calming and soothing. Slow nose breathing (six seconds in and out is ideal) can bring some great health benefits. Topping that list is calming, and stress relieving. If you can take a few minutes each morning and clear your head by deep breathing, you can even imagine yourself breathing in the goodness of God, the Holy Spirit or a short prayer. When you exhale you can breathe out all the negative toxic busyness or stress.
2. Pause - On RPLNISH Experiences we say, Divert Daily. Do something different or nothing at all. Take a 5-minute vacation, do a Wordle, watch the sunrise, play an instrument. Do something, anything... or nothing at all. Sometimes we can get more done by doing less.
3. Reflect - Reflect on all the good in your life, there is a ton. Reflect on how far you have come or how much your career has grown or how you have cut and focused. Be mindful of all that is positive in your life. Be thankful and grateful and reflect on ways you can share that with others.
4. Focus - Concentrate on what is important: Family, health, friends, getting closer to God, all the "wins" from the past season. There is much to be said about living in the gain and not the gap (amazing book and summary here). Focus on what God is doing in your now, on what is right in front of you. Dont worry about what might be or what could be. Focus and the positive.
